LET US HELP
Our mission is to provide quality and compassionate care for all our patients, regardless of ability to pay. We believe that no one should delay seeking needed medical care because they lack health insurance or are worried about their ability to pay for their care. That¿s why St. Jude Medical Center has a Patient Financial Assistance Program that provides free or discounted services for eligible patients.
What is the Patient Financial Assistance Program?
Our Patient Financial Assistance Program helps make our services available to everyone in our community. This includes people who don¿t have health insurance and can¿t pay their hospital bill and patients who do have insurance but are unable to pay the portion of their bill that insurance doesn¿t cover.
In some cases, eligible patients may not be required to pay for services; in others, they may be asked to make partial payment.
Who is Eligible?
You may be eligible for our program if you meet the following guidelines:
- You do not qualify for government sponsored insurance programs (such as Medi-Cal, MSI, Healthy Families, or Medicare).
- Your family income is less than five times the Federal Poverty Level (up to 110,250 for a family of four).
- You think you may have trouble paying your bill.
Our Patient Financial Services Department will work with you to determine if you are eligible. Please remember that access to necessary healthcare is not affected by eligibility for financial assistance. St. Jude Medical Center is committed to treating all those who come to us for care.
How to Apply?
If you think you might be eligible for our program, have questions about the eligibility requirements or need help applying for one of the government sponsored insurance programs described above, please contact one of our financial service representatives. They can be reached at (714) 870-3500.
Confidentiality
We understand that the need for patient financial assistance can be a sensitive and deeply personal issue. We are committed to maintaining the confidentiality of requests, information and funding for all who participate in our program.
